About the role

This is a 12 month fixed-term contract opportunity. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Inside Sales - Business Development Consultant will be an integral part of the Commercial function for SEEK’s newly-launched Recruiter Network (SRN) business. This role is a pivotal position for an internal start-up, supported by the additional resources and opportunities of being part of the SEEK Group.

You will focus on engaging with small to medium-sized enterprises with differing hiring requirements to understand their challenges and successfully convert them to the SRN platform to help them achieve their goals of hiring a great candidate. It is suited to someone who enjoys the challenges of developing a career in Sales, likes to be deeply embedded in the business, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and embraces continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

As a phone-based Inside Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for calling, qualifying and closing sales opportunities with existing and new SME clients. Supporting the team objective of accelerating growth, your role is accountable for the following:

  • Engaging with SME businesses through a high volume of daily outbound sales calls, with a key focus on understanding their hiring challenges and selling the Recruiter Network solution.
  • Perform effective discovery to uncover and understand the customer’s needs, ensuring recommendations are best fit for their individual business requirements.
  • Leverage strong influencing and negotiation skills to provide strategic consultations, address concerns proactively, optimize timelines, and drive results.
  • Utilise a fundamental understanding of the SRN platform as well as current market trends and incorporate these as appropriate in client conversations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through a proactive focus on individual and team performance. Actively contribute to a positive team culture by sharing insights and ideas and collaborating with your team mates to drive best practice

Qualifications

Skills and experience 

  • High energy individual who contributes to fun and supportive team environments.
  • Can build rapport quickly over the phone, effectively negotiate and overcome objections, and drive mutually beneficial outcomes through consultative selling
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a competitive drive to meet/exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with demonstrated success in using these to drive successful outcomes for customers, partners and the organisations you have worked for.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, with a demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt quickly in a constantly changing environment.
  • Relevant experience in phone-based sales positions, including customer-focused solution sales.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume of leads, maintain a sales pipeline, and meet/exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the Recruitment industry, HR tech, and/or marketplaces is a bonus not essential.
