About the Role:  

Are you passionate about building services and eager to kickstart your career in construction? Join us as a Building Services Cadet and gain hands-on experience in managing and coordinating building services across large-scale construction projects. This cadetship offers a supportive learning environment where you can develop technical and project management skills. 

This is a 2 year fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, fire, and hydraulic systems. 
  • Support senior team members with site surveys, services coordination, and reviewing as-built plans. 
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and site visits to gain practical experience. 
  • Help track long lead items and report program risks. 
  • Assist with commissioning planning and coordination. 
  • Learn about industry regulations, building codes, and health & safety requirements. 

What you’ll need:  

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent Level 8 degree)  
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical and coordination skills. 
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is beneficial. 
  • Positive “can do” attitude.
