While we continue to provide support for emotional support animals (ESAs) and psychiatric service dogs (PSDs), helping individuals secure essential documentation and training, these services are part of our mission to meet our nation's diverse mental health needs.
Position Description
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our Finance Team and support the financial operations of Receptive and our recently acquired companies. This is a specialized bookkeeping role focused on maintaining accurate financial records, transaction processing, and ensuring compliance across our expanding mental health services portfolio.
In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping activities that keep our company's finances organized and compliant. You'll work directly with our Finance Team to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized, supporting the financial reporting needs of our growing mental health business and recent acquisitions.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, analyzing and posting entries within our accounting systems in a timely and precise manner.
- Process accounts payable invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely payments.
- Record and reconcile daily transactions, including revenue, cash receipts, payroll entries, and expense classifications.
- Support monthly and weekly financial reporting processes and dashboard preparation.
- Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for all financial records.
- Assist with expense tracking and categorization for accurate reporting.

What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial roles
- Experience in healthcare, mental health, or medical services bookkeeping is preferred; background in a Professional Corporation or Accounting Firm is a plus.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and a proactive approach
- Experience in fast-paced, growing companies preferred
Logistics
- This is a part-time role requiring some overlap with US Pacific Time (PST). The position starts at 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase, and offers room for flexibility.
- We are fully remote – you can work wherever you’re most productive.
- Compensation for this position ranges from $22 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
