Davies is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for an experienced TPA Casualty Bodily Injury Adjuster to join our team. As an Adjuster in this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, investigating, and settling bodily injury claims related to auto accidents. This position requires a minimum of four years experience handling, specifically in the areas of liability, coverage, bodily injury and medical review.
In this role, you will utilize your extensive knowledge and expertise in auto claims to assess the validity of claims, review policy coverage, and determine liability, coverage and injury expsoure and setttlement. You will conduct thorough investigations, gathering all necessary information and documentation, and work closely with claimants, policyholders, and other stakeholders to negotiate and settle claims in a fair and timely manner. Your excellent analytical skills will be crucial as you assess the extent of injuries or damages, estimate costs, and negotiate settlements within established authority levels. Additionally, you will collaborate with legal counsel, medical professionals, and other experts as needed to ensure accurate evaluation and resolution of claims. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently while managing a high-volume caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish timely contact with all applicable parties to a claim (insureds, claimants, attorneys, etc.) and gather facts of the loss
- Confirm coverage of claims by reviewing policies and documents
- Participate in review and discussion of large loss activity with interested stakeholders
- Assess coverage, identifying and addressing potential coverage issues
- Determine liability for third party claims
- Document information obtained regarding damages
- Manage the assignment of claim damage for inspection
- Handle and settle all assigned bodily injury, property damage and litigated claims
- Review and accept/reject and make claim tenders
- Oversee the field assignment to assure timely inspection, documentation, estimate of the loss
- Maintain files notes and correspondence while performing multiple tasks associated with a fast-paced environment
- Maintain claim diary for life of claim
- Adhere to all guidelines and claims expectations of client
- All other duties as assigned
Skills, knowledge & expertise
- Minimum of 2 years bodily injury experience required
- Multi-line Adjuster's license
- Experience as a Casualty Adjuster
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software and other business-related software
- Able to type own reports and other correspondence
- Proactive, independent, and takes initiative
- Superb communication skills, verbal and written
- Superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines
- Exceptional capability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organization skills in a dynamic work environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
