A Health-Tech company that has raised over $100M in funding is hiring their first AI Automation Engineer.
You'll lead how AI gets used inside the company. Your job? Automate as much as possible—tools, tasks, workflows—so the whole team moves faster, works smarter, and builds better.
You’ll work directly with teams across the org to spot pain points and turn them into automated workflows. You’ll test, build, deploy—and repeat—using the best models out there. Access to top-tier LLMs won’t be a problem.
This role is for someone who ships. Not someone chasing research papers or building demos. We’re looking for pragmatic engineers who care about real impact.
Build tools that cut out repetitive work using AI
Automate your own workflows to move faster
Meet with internal teams to find and solve high-value problems
Prototype small utilities fast, and launch them even faster
Own and debug full-stack systems (Python, JS/React)
Handle systems with sensitive data—must be trustworthy
Track AI model releases and experiment with the latest
Get adoption—your tools need to work, and get used
5+ years building software, including full-stack experience
Strong with Python, JavaScript, React
Past work using LLMs in real products (prompting, evals, etc.)
Great debugger and fast problem-solver
High ownership mindset—especially when stakes are high
Good communicator who works well with non-tech teams
Based in the U.S. and able to meet during Pacific hours (9–3 PT)
Comfortable with change and ambiguity
Experience deploying internal tools
Familiarity with data privacy and security best practices
Background working in startups or small engineering teams
You get to build from scratch
You’ll ship real stuff, not research slides
You’ll work directly with decision-makers
The org is AI-forward and model access is not a blocker
This is the kind of job where you make the biggest difference.
